It's not just about showing up at a nude beach or resort, but its those private moments at home or where ever when you're in some various stage of undress. The art is getting to snap that photo of the subject as if they are oblivious to the photo being taken. :)
I feel really accomplished whenever I sneak a picture of my fiancee without her knowing. Once she sees, the moment is ruined. It’s understandable. As comfortable as we are being nude around each other (at this point, being clothed around each other is what feels weird), it is still awkward consciously being still for a surprise camera session.
