I went for my first nude nature walk yesterday. It was a short walk, I’ll admit. I found a secluded area at the edge of campus, which overlooks a lake. I had never been on the path before, and I doubt most students even know it exists. I certainly didn’t. I decided that, since it’s the summer and most students are away, this was as good as chance as any to find out where it goes, and to be free while I did it. It confirmed for me what I already suspected, that I absolutely love the feel of the breeze against my bare skin and the feeling of being unshielded from nature. I can’t wait to do it in a place where I don’t have to worry if someone’s coming, where I can truly feel free.
I chose this picture in part because when I walked, my hands consistently found themselves on my hip, as this girl’s have. It was a small detail that really made me connect with the picture.
